Responsibilities:
We currently have a great opportunity available for a Supervisor, Technical Training. The Supervisor, Technical Training oversees a team of instructors and supervises their daily activities in providing training and education for both internal associates and external distributors in the maintenance and service of diagnostic testing systems for clinical laboratories.Training is delivered via a diverse and technologically advanced education portfolio utilizing virtual methods, self-paced education, and onsite learning. Partners with the Center for Learning (CFL) leadership team in executing strategy in support of the advancement of healthcare through the highest quality technical education.

This role includes comprehensive responsibility for the implementation and execution of a curriculum strategy establishing continuous, advanced education opportunities utilizing a variety of technologies and modalities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory (85%)- Development and oversight of Field Service and Service Support class calendar and instructor work schedule. Partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure class calendar supports Field Service and Service Support needs within the boundaries of department resources while maintaining consistent and effective training.
- Manage new employee onboarding and integration into the instructor team. Facilitate the advancement of the instructor team competencies. Provide performance evaluations, timely feedback, and action plan for development.
- Coordinate with Sr. Consultant, Training Development to effectively monitor, assess, and approve instructors for solo course instruction on a routine basis.
- Assist with development of the technical instructor team annual goals. Responsible for the monitoring and attainment of team and individual goals.
- Review survey feedback in a timely manner, coordinating with appropriate stakeholders to relay information and updates.
- Manages the BioMed Training program to include request, approval, purchase order submission, course schedule, certification/recertification and maintenance of approved BioMed list.
- Partners with Learning Management System (LMS) administrators to maintain accurate Caresphere Academy+ curricula.
- Facilitate learning for Sysmex Associates while coordinating with Customer Care Onboarding Manager to deliver Onboarding and Foundational learning sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel: 10%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of relevant work experience required which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
- Certification in Adult learning and/or Instructional Design a plus.
- Previous experience in Clinical Laboratory Science or other science field is a plus.
- Previous technical experience in the clinical diagnostic industry is a plus.
- 2 years Sysmex facilitation experience is a plus
- Remote teaching experience is a plus
- On-camera experience a plus
- Proficient in English grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage. Fluent in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and/or French-Canadian a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite products.
- Ability to employ interpersonal skills, conflict management and influence. Acts always with professionalism and integrity.
