Software Developer

We are excited to offer a long-term contract opportunity for a Software Developer position based in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves leading and directing technical staff in software development, maintenance, and enhancement. As a Software Developer, you will collaborate closely with various teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues and enhance the performance and scalability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of software components and solutions based on user requirements and guiding principles.
• Oversee the development of enterprise-level applications using .NET Core, C#, Azure DevOps, and Azure PaaS.
• Execute tasks as directed by the Delivery Architect and Manager, escalating issues and risks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to development standards through quality reviews and compliance scans.
• Engage in detailed design of multiple technologies under the guidance of the delivery architect.
• Collaborate with team members to define and clarify business requirements, development estimation, and work plan finalization.
• Participate in and lead the implementation and support transition of completed components.
• Assist other teams in troubleshooting problems arising from applications or integration of various components.
• Proactively solve problems, remove blockers, and address technical challenges.
• Work closely with other developers and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Use advanced knowledge and experience to resolve complex break/fix and bug/defect issues.
• Implement core REST JSON-based APIs.
• Support the Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Participate in and lead design discussions, asking probing questions, and identifying edge cases.
• Proficient in operations, capable of overseeing the daily activities of a software development team
• Excellent planning skills, able to manage project timelines and deliverables
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite, particularly in development tools and platforms
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and standards within the software development industry
• Extensive experience with database design, management, and optimization
• Demonstrated ability in design, particularly in software architecture and user interface
• Leadership skills, capable of guiding a team and making decisive actions
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, including implementation and management
• Understanding and application of industry best practices
• Proficiency in REST API development and integration
