Computer and Data Science Summer Internship

Description:

Sonalysts, Inc., is seeking exceptional college students for computer science and/or data science paid internships from June-August 2025, to develop data analysis and visualization tools associated with modeling and simulation environments. Candidates must be working toward a graduate or undergraduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or related fields.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Interns will be expected to work on site in our Waterford, CT Sonalysts office, only very limited teleworking will be available.

What you will be doing:

Potential projects you will work on during the summer will depend on specific intern skills and may include:
- Use Python to develop a reconstruction program from simulation log files
Use Python to develop data analysis tools from simulation log files
Use C++ and Java to develop data exchange interfaces between different simulation environments
Develop new model visualization tools

Required Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Completion of Sophomore year working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical degree
Experience with either Python or C++
Candidates must submit a cover letter describing completed or in-progress college courses that have included Python and/or C++. The letter should give examples of projects completed with Python and/or C++.

Desired Qualifications:

Completion of Junior year working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
Experience in Java
Local candidates preferred
