Responsibilities:

Program Manager, Clinical Training and Operations reports to Health Services Department Lead

Position Objective:

The Program Manager, Clinical Training & Operations is an operational role responsible for managing the implementation of new Health Services programs, including program design and project management support for implementation. The position will report to the [Health Services Department Lead] / [Chief of Staff].

Additionally, the Program Manager is responsible for developing and facilitating training for new initiatives, ensuring that teams are well-equipped for program success. Serving as a Program Subject Matter Expert (SME), this role may also provide ad-hoc clinical coverage as needed to support departmental operations.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Leads end-to-end planning, design, and implementation of health services programs.
  • Manages project timelines, deliverables, and key relationships to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Identifies risks and mitigation strategies to proactively address implementation challenges.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations and best practices in program execution.
  • Develops scalability plans for successful program expansion across multiple regions.
  • Designs, develops, and facilitates training programs for new health services initiatives.
  • Creates training materials, playbooks, and toolkits to support the launch and sustainability of new programs.
  • Conducts ongoing training and skill development for team members to enhance program efficiency.
  • Implements train-the-trainer programs to build internal expertise and knowledge-sharing.
  • Utilizes feedback and performance metrics to continuously refine training content.
  • Analyzes existing programs and recommends process improvements to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Standardizes workflows and develops best practices for clinical and operational teams.
  • Supports quality assurance efforts by conducting audits and performance reviews on program execution.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to align program strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Provides back-up support for existing Utilization Management (UM) and Care Coordination programs when needed.
  • Serves as a clinical subject matter expert (SME) to support program needs.
  • Assists with staffing shortfalls by offering ad-hoc clinical coverage when required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/ Skills:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing within the state of practice required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Utilization Management, with a strong understanding of medical necessity criteria and care coordination.
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching, leadership, training development, or project management, with a proven ability to mentor and guide teams.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical guidelines, medical terminology, and healthcare best practices.
  • Experience in healthcare program development and implementation preferred.
  • Clinical background with direct patient care experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, providers, and health plans.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Monday.com (Project Management Software), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing data and making informed decisions.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a focus on quality execution, process optimization, and achieving business objectives.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity toward diverse patient populations, ensuring inclusivity in healthcare delivery and communication.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical ability to sit, stand and move freely about the office.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to or exceeding 50%.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, and pull.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs at times.

Pay Range: USD $71,750.00 - USD $111,250.00 /Yr.
