Accounting Manager/Supervisor

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and deliver high-quality services.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Understand client needs and provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to optimize their financial positions
• Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for improving tax efficiency, minimizing risk, and maximizing financial performance
• Address client concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Oversee tax compliance processes, including the preparation and review of tax returns
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting practices to ensure accurate and timely tax planning and reporting
• Advise clients on tax strategies, opportunities, and potential risks to optimize their tax positions
• Complete and supervise monthly accounting clients
• Perform analytical procedures on financials, and be able to explain account variances
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff
• The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of Accounting Manager/Supervisor.
• Experience in Public Accounting is required.
• Skills in Tax Accounting are preferred.
• The candidate must have a proven track record in managing accounting teams and operations.
• The candidate must have the ability to oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• The candidate should have experience in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• The candidate must be capable of preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
• The candidate should have experience in coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• The candidate should be able to research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• The candidate must have experience in managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• The candidate must have a degree in Accounting.
• CPA is a plus.
• The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• The candidate should have experience with creating financial statements.
• The candidate should have excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
