We’re seeking a Quality Manager to oversee our quality management system and drive continuous improvement. This role will ensure product quality, manage non-conformance issues, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, problem-solving, and leading cross-functional teams.Join us in advancing our commitment to superior quality and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure products meet QMS and ERP system inspection standards.
- Track quality metrics and develop action plans to achieve target performance.
- Resolve customer complaints, lead root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to reduce non-conformance.
- Provide quality training, coaching, and identify employee development needs.
- Oversee supplier qualifications and ensure quality assurance controls are in place.
- Contribute to companywide continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Ensure successful new product launches by adhering to APQP and PPAP requirements.
- Lead and contribute to APQP project teams for successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, leading best practices across the plant.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, increase yield, and improve Sigma level.
- Communicate with customers and improve shop operations based on feedback.
- Assist in developing new processes and technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Support the development of QMS work instructions and provide training.
- Support plant activities for customer certifications and industry quality registrations.
- Conduct internal audits and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Report on quality KPIs and customer feedback to management.
- Collaborate with other managers to improve product and process quality.
- Occasionally travel to suppliers and customer plants for product reviews and interaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 10+ years in manufacturing; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred with 5+
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ASME).
- Preferred experience with QT9 or similar applications for managing ISO QM systems.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical skills with the ability to train and lead teams effectively.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting production drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, process management, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Epicor and Microsoft Office applications.
