Job Summary

The HR Assistant provides comprehensive support to the Director of Human Resources in implementing various human resources programs. This includes payroll processing, recruitment, employment processing, benefits management, and employee relations.

The HR Assistant also serves as backup to the Sr. HR Generalist, ensuring smooth operations in job-related tasks.

Key responsibilities include assisting with job ads, recruitment documents, and onboarding materials, as well as participating in job fairs and interviews. The role also involves conducting reference checks and enhancing recruitment processes.

The HR Assistant supports orientation programs and explains employee benefits, playing a key role in Open Enrollment efforts.

Additionally, the HR Assistant helps manage performance appraisals and maintains relationships with recruitment partners. Other duties include preparing reports, analyzing data, and assisting in the formulation of HR policies.

Proficiency in ADP, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment is essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of employment laws, are crucial for success in this role. The HR Assistant must be resourceful, capable of working independently, and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Knowledge in ADP Workforce Now software preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP certification desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
