Bookkeeper - New York

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be tasked with managing accounts, processing customer credit applications, and maintaining financial records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the home health care services industry.

• Process and manage customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Utilize QuickBooks for managing and recording all financial transactions.
• Ensure all financial data and records are prepared and organized for auditing.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on their status.
• Maintain a strict adherence to workplace rules including no cell phone usage during working hours.
• Contribute to the team in managing workload during staff absences.
• Assist in maintaining a professional and efficient workplace. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
• Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Competence in conducting bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated skills in bookkeeping
• Familiarity with data entry tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in managing month end close procedures
• Knowledge of payroll processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
