Junior Estimator

Triumph Construction is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, gaining valuable experience in estimating and project management.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Participate in preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Interface daily with senior management to build estimates and seek new bid opportunities.
• Complete estimates on time and complete in form for final review.
• Ability to follow all project specifications and standards to secure estimate accuracy.
• Ability to interface with all vendors and negotiate the best price outcome for the estimate and out proposal.
• Attending any required site visits and meetings needed prior to bid submission.
• Attending all management meetings to meet productivity.
• Assist in meeting the goals of bid cost vs actual job cost and work with the team to meet job margins.
• Maintain the estimating computer system and paper backup system for management to review.
• Verify that vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope.
• Create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations.

Required requirements and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience
• Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures.
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management.
• Ability to work with B2W, HCSS, Excel and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge in both private sector and NYC municipalities.
• Experienced in DOT, MTA, DDC and Heavy Civil Construction
