Staff Accountant

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is centered around the finance industry, with a focus on government agencies and programs. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with handling accounts payable and receivable, overseeing the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and audits.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with government regulations and audits
• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable
• Maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Work with government contracts and understand related programs
• Handle any inquiries related to government agencies and programs
• Regularly review and update accounts to guarantee accuracy
• Assist with any other accounting tasks as required.

• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with General Ledger management and operations
• Knowledge of Government Agencies & Programs
• Experience with Government Audits
• Understanding of Government compliance regulations and procedures
• Experience in dealing with Government Contracts
