Production Operator
Production Operator - Philadelphia, PA
Under minimal direction, the Production Operator independently operates production equipment in various areas of manufacturing, and is able to fill in for other positions in the plant.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Read, understand, and follow batch tickets.
- Combine ingredients in designated sequence.
- Provide samples to lab.
- Pack product into designated containers.
- Report near miss incidents and improvement opportunities.
- Waste disposal and equipment and plant cleaning.
- Operate forklift
- Label containers.
- SAP inventory look-up.
- Gather and weigh ingredients. (Scale operation)
- Operate and trouble shoot mixing and dust collector equipment.
- SAP CORK duties.
- Preliminary quality checks.
- Maintain a clean work area and work safely.
- Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, training sessions and assist w/training others.
- Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties.
Education & Qualification:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Computer efficiency
- Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety.
- Possess sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
