Clinical Software Test Automation Engineer

As a Clinical Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be integral to ensuring the quality and reliability of clinical software products through automated testing. You will work closely with verification engineers and product architects to develop and maintain automation scripts and ensure they meet verification protocols.
This role demands a strong background in Python automation and experience with embedded systems. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration and Understanding: Collaborate with verification engineers and product architects to understand software product requirements and verification protocols.
Gain a thorough understanding of the current automation framework. Automation Script Development: Develop automation scripts using Python, based on design verification protocols. Leverage existing automation framework APIs/Keywords to create effective test scripts.
Script Maintenance and Management: Maintain and update automation scripts as needed. Manage script configuration in the JAMA environment to ensure consistency and accuracy. Testing and Verification: Perform dry runs of test scripts to ensure they are accurate and meet intended verification protocols.
Conduct formal automation testing, archiving verification logs, and test results in the designated repository. Issue Resolution: Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve any issues found during testing. Provide detailed reports and documentation of any bugs or issues encountered.
Collaboration with Framework Team: Collaborate with the PV Automation framework team for the development of new APIs/Keywords. Implement industry best practices to enhance automation coverage and support continuous improvement efforts. Must-Have Skills: Python Automation: Strong proficiency in developing automation scripts using Python.
Embedded Systems: Experience working with embedded systems, ensuring software-hardware integration is seamless. Other Qualifications: Experience with automation frameworks and tools. Familiarity with JAMA environment for script configuration management.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the clinical or healthcare software industry.

Knowledge of software verification and validation processes. Familiarity with industry best practices for test automation.
