Full Charge Bookkeeper

Our client in North County is looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in managing full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable, overseeing payroll, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities:
- Handle full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile all bank and credit card statements timely and accurately.
- Process payroll and ensure timely payment of employee wages, taxes, and benefits.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Work with tax preparers for quarterly/annual filings as needed.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role; public or private accounting experience is highly desired.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
