Landscape Laborer - 15 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/2025-11/14/2025.
Employer: Brightview Landscapes, LLC, 391 Anthony Street, Albany, NY 12308.
Duties: Mow, cut, water, and edge lawns; rake and blow leaves; dig holes for bushes and planting; pull/chop weeds; prune/haul topsoil and mulch. Entry level. Saturday work required, when necessary. Hours may vary and overtime required based on weather and project need.Travel to Brightview offices and worksite locations in Albany, Saratoga, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Montgomery, Warren, Hamilton, Fulton, Greene, and Schoharie Counties of New York. Workers must be able to lift and carry weights of up
to 50 lbs. when necessary, such as with mulch, fertilizer, or other materials. They should have the capability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials needed to complete their assigned tasks. The employer will rely on workers' self-representations and observations to assess whether they meet this requirement.
No education or experience required. On the job training provided. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, when necessary.
Drug testing and post-hire background check may be required after hire but before the commencement of employment at the employer's expense for all workers, both domestic and H-2B workers.
Work days: Mon-Fri (Sat work required, when necessary), 8am-3:30pm, 35 hours/week at $21.87/hour. Possible OT at $32.81/hour.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will assist workers with securing housing (optional), but employer will not provide housing.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
