Job Title: MRI Radiologic Technologist
Duties:
- Performs MRI procedures to capture detailed diagnostic images, following established guidelines.
- Positions patients accurately and safely to ensure the best quality images are captured.
- Administers intravenous contrast media under physician supervision.
- Evaluates MRI images for technical quality before sending them for interpretation.
- Assists physicians during imaging-guided procedures as needed.
- Troubleshoots and maintains MRI equipment, ensuring it operates effectively.
- Participates in quality control and safety activities, adhering to safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Prepares patients and explains procedures to ensure they are comfortable and informed.
- Ensures all images are appropriately labeled and stored in the PACS system.
- Adheres to all departmental policies regarding documentation, equipment maintenance, and patient care.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MRI imaging and contrast media administration.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient handling.
Education & Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in MRI required.
- BLS certification required.
Pay Range:
- Weekly: $3,300 - $3,900
