Accounts Receivable Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Accountant in the Construction/Contractor industry. The role is based in North Charleston, South Carolina. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be responsible for various tasks that include processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Handle any customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Take appropriate action when monitoring customer accounts
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections
• Use software tools like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and analyze data
• Handle the account reconciliation process to ensure all records are accurate
• Ensure all billing processes are completed accurately and on time
• Manage cash applications to keep track of all cash transactions
• Oversee cash collections, ensuring all payments are received in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Extensive experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in Billing procedures and practices
• Experience with Cash Applications
• Proficient in Cash Collections and Commercial Collections
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Construction or Contractor industry experience is beneficial
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
