Staff Accountant

One of our clients is looking for a strong Staff Accountant for a contract to permanent position.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits (internal and external) by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain and update accounting systems, such as NetSuite
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP software
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail with solid analytical and organizational skills.
