As the **Research Nurse****Manager****** you are responsible for the overallday to day clinical operations of the research nurses.
- You will oversee and manage day-to-day activities of a team of Research Nurses and research assistants
- You will oversee clinical trial-related activities completed and performed by the research nurses to assure completeness and accuracy as well as adherence to federal and state guidelines
- You will provide suggestions for improvement in processes and overall quality and monitors outcome if deficiencies are identified
- You will assist with training new research nurses
- You will problem-solve clinical situations along with research nurses as they arise
- You will monitor patient enrollment at sites through weekly and monthly reporting.
- You will identify opportunities and develop action plans as necessary to increase patient accrual
- You will assist in development and tracking of quarterly goals for each research nurse and clinic
- You will meet with physicians and administrators as needed to assess performance of clinic
- You will evaluate staffing needs and provides optimal coverage of research offices
- You will communicate to the research nurses the overall performance standards and expectations day to day
- You will make frequent visits to research sites
- You will interview research nurse candidates
- You will work with other team members in Clinical Operations department to ensure communication and responsibility are effective among the two groups
- You will be responsible for individual site goals, financial performance, quality assurance, oversight and contracted patient enrollment
- You will submit annual performance evaluations to supervisor for review and conduct the evaluations
You should have for this position:
- An Associate Degree; preferably a Bachelor’s Degree
- RN License
- Knowledge of medical and research terminology
- Knowledge of FDA Code of Federal Regulations and GCP
- Knowledge of the clinical research processes
- At least three years of oncology experience preferred
- At least three years of experience in a research setting preferred
- At least three years of supervisory or management experience
- Research Certification (ACRP, CCRP or SOCRA) Preferred
- OCN certification preferred
