Senior Electrical Engineer - Randstad
A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Conshohocken, PA (hybrid) area. This Senior Electrical Engineer role will lead the design of medium and low voltage power systems for life science and industrial facilities, utilizing NEC knowledge and design software, while providing guidance to junior staff.

responsibilities:
- Lead the design of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including emergency generators, lighting, and hazardous area systems.
- Work on electrical systems for life science facilities (labs, pilot plants, controlled storage) or similar industrial settings (hospitals, utilities).
- Perform engineering calculations and evaluations for equipment and system design in industrial applications.
- Ensure all project deliverables conform to codes, specifications, design criteria, and good engineering practices.
- Review project deliverables for accuracy and code compliance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
- Maintain effective communication with the project team and clients.
Skills:
- strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) (National Electrical Code).
- Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash studies.
- Experience in life science facility electrical design (labs, controlled environments, production buildings).
- Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, Smartplant, and Bluebeam Revu software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for building systems.
