QUALITY TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Technician
General Summary: The Quality Technician is chiefly responsible for maintaining compliance with and improving our quality systems (international, industry, and customer-specific standards, environmental standards, etc.). Additionally, document control duties such as requirements to identify, store, protect, retrieve, retain, and disposition system documents and records as per ISO-9001 and TS-16949.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Maintain compliance to international, industry, and customer-specific quality standards.
- Lead and maintain the internal audit processes.
- Maintain Master Document and Responsibility Metrics.
- Audit and update documents, as needed, then process for re-approval.
- Maintain legible, readily identifiable, relevant versions of applicable documents at point of use.
- Receive and process request(s) for documents.
- Update documents and create templates.
- Maintain public accessible and controlled archive records on the server.
- Train employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction, and disaster recovery.
- Assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain Deviation and other QMS-related records for accessibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be a change agent and drive positive change; be a natural organizational leader.
- Must be expertly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and MS Outlook (email).
- Experience with other corrective action and problem-solving techniques a plus.
- Displays effective interpersonal skills sufficient to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships with customers and employees.
- Skill in finding information, locating travelers, and performing correct data input.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to self-motivate and work through information gathering with little supervisory input.
- Experience with ISO document control.
- High volume manufacturing environment experience
- Advance knowledge of English to read and write
- High School or G.E.D. equivalent required.
