Project Manager - Legal Research Initiative (REMOTE)

Robert Half is seeking a Project Manager to partner with their client - multinational information and analytics company - for a major legal publication initiative. This role is primarily focused on managing the planning and delivery of new publications in the legal industry.
This is a remote, long-term contract employment opportunity, providing an excellent chance to work closely with content, product, and technical leaders and teams.
Project information:
- Start: December 2024
- Duration: 1 year (12 months) possibility of extension
- Pay: $45-50/hour
- Location: Remote
- Hours: 15-25 hours per week
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop a clear roadmap for successful delivery by understanding the content expansion scope with secondary content teams.
- Plan projects following established best practices and tools, which includes stakeholder identification, scope definition, team coordination, and task assignment.
- Delegate and coordinate work among a pool of contractors and in-house staff.
- Manage day-to-day project activities and resources, monitor project progress/budget, and facilitate data-driven decision making and problem-solving.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks while driving project execution.
- Collaborate and influence change efforts while managing project resources.
- Engage and keep stakeholders informed by providing timely project progress updates with robust metrics.
- Ensure timely manuscript submission by managing outside authors.
- Facilitate and support the teams that lead the phases of publication development and production.
- Be adaptable and proactive in making necessary course corrections to achieve objectives.
- Utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge for project management, if applicable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Operations and Planning.
- Experience with Planning Processes and Budget Processes.
- Proven track record in Project Management.
- Familiarity with About Time software.
- Knowledge of Production and Metric Reporting processes.
- Ability to work effectively with Stakeholders and Partners.
- Experience with Monitoring Tools.
- Knowledge of Best Practices in project management.
- Strong skills in Collaborating with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in creating Publications and Editorial Content.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts.
- Exceptional Written Communication skills.
- Knowledge of Project Progress tracking and reporting methods.
- PMP Certification is required.
- Legal Knowledge related to project management.
- Experience with Data-Driven Decision Making.
- Ability to be Nimble and adjust to changing project requirements.
- Knowledge of AP Style writing.
- A Plus skills or qualifications are welcomed.
