Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a person to work full-time as a Maintenance Coordinator to manage our fleet of equipment and head our Maintenance Department. Our fleet consists of straight trucks, day cab trucks and sleeper trucks, along with dry vans, flatbeds and other trailers. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and scheduling repairs
• Performing basic repairs such as replacing lights, air lines, etc.
• Inspecting equipment, traveling to other yards and parking lots as needed
• Communicating with dispatch and drivers regarding maintenance
• Planning preventative maintenance and a maintenance program
• Ordering and keeping stock of maintenance supplies such as oil, lights, air lines, etc.
• Responding to maintenance requests outside of office hours
• Keep track of maintenance records and input into Park’s databases
• Staying professional as appropriate to an office setting and professional business

In addition:

Required:

• General knowledge of trucks and trailers
• Organization and ability to multi-task
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred:

• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA rules & regulations
• CDL A License
• Knowledge regarding intermodal equipment
• Related skills such as welding are a plus

OTHER INFO:

• Starting salary is $30,000-40,000 depending on experience
• Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday, but the Maintenance Coordinator is “on call” outside of office hours for maintenance issues
• Health & dental insurance benefits start after 90 days; vacation accrues after one year
