Azure Data Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Azure Data Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to architect data solutions that meet business needs, drive innovation, and ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

Data Architecture:

• Design end-to-end data architectures on Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective and sustainable solutions.

Data Integration and ETL:

• Lead the design and implementation of data integration and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant tools.
• Ensure the seamless flow of data between on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Data Warehousing:

• Architect and implement Azure SQL Data Warehouse and other data warehousing solutions to support analytical processing and reporting.
• Optimize data warehouse performance and implement best practices for data storage and retrieval.

Big Data and Analytics:

• Design and implement solutions for big data processing and analytics using Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, HDInsight, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into data pipelines.

Data Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and data masking.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data solutions to identify and address performance issues proactively.
• Continuously optimize data solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, configurations, and processes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data management best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with data streaming and event-driven architectures using Azure Stream Analytics or Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of data governance and master data management concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
