Tax Preparer

This role will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to prepare and process individual tax returns
• Ensure the accuracy of each tax return by thoroughly reviewing and rectifying any errors
• Provide assistance to individuals during their tax preparation process
• Monitor individual accounts, ensuring all tax-related matters are up-to-date and accurate
• Maintain detailed records of processed tax returns for future reference
• Handle inquiries related to tax preparation, providing clear and concise responses
• Take necessary action based on individual account monitoring
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling individual tax information.
• Proficiency in tax preparation for individual and business returns is required.
• Must have experience with Lacerte Tax Software.
• Demonstrated skills in tax preparation are essential.
• Ability to stay updated with current tax regulations and laws.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret tax laws and apply them to client situations.
• Excellent organization skills to manage multiple client files and tax forms.
• Must be detail-oriented to ensure accurate and compliant tax preparation.
• Strong communication skills to explain tax situations to clients.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tax deadlines.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable.
• Certification as a Tax Preparer or a related certification is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is beneficial.
