Job Description:
As a Production Scheduling supervisor, the person in this position will optimize day-to-day scheduling activities while minimizing costs.- Monitor materials inventories.
- Track production progress.
- Review factors that affect production schedules.
- Partners with the supply chain team to ensure order starts on time
- Optimizes production schedules to increase production efficiency
- Identifies and troubleshoots production issues
- Communicates with other manufacturing departments
- Ensure the team is trained in the latest best practices
- Supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives.
- Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules.
- Monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling in response to changes in flow of material, designs, equipment or other resources
- Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, and others database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Requires strong knowledge of production processes. Expert in developing and reviewing production schedules. Able to provide work leadership. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
