Job Summary:
The Director/Senior Director of Marketing and Community Outreach is a leadership position responsible for developing and executing high-impact marketing strategies, enhancing brand visibility, driving patient engagement, and leading outreach initiatives that build strong community partnerships.This role ensures that all marketing and outreach efforts align with SMCC’s mission while leveraging data-driven strategies to expand reach, increase patient access, and enhance community engagement.
This individual will oversee brand strategy, digital marketing, public relations, content creation, operationalizing community engagement programs, and outreach initiatives, ensuring an integrated approach that strengthens Spectrum Medical Care Center’s reputation and impact.The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution skills to optimize marketing performance while fostering a strong presence in the community.
The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in marketing, outreach, or communications—exclusively within the healthcare industry—and holds a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Public Relations (Master’s preferred).

What You’ll Do:
Marketing Strategy & Brand Management- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, patient acquisition, and community engagement.
- Oversee brand messaging, visual identity, and positioning to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation to inform marketing strategies.
- Ensure that SMCC’s services, programs, and initiatives are effectively communicated to diverse audiences, including underserved populations.
- Manage public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Lead the digital marketing strategy, including website management, email campaigns, and online advertising.
- Oversee and optimize SEO/SEM strategies, paid ad campaigns, and content marketing initiatives to drive patient engagement and community outreach.
- Create and manage social media strategy, ensuring consistent messaging, engaging content, and real-time community interaction across all platforms.
- Track and analyze key digital marketing performance metrics, optimizing campaigns based on engagement and conversion data.
- Manage and optimize HubSpot CRM to streamline marketing automation, track engagement, and enhance patient acquisition strategies.
- Utilize CRM analytics to track campaign effectiveness and inform data-driven marketing decisions.
- Lead strategic outreach initiatives to build strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
- Implement and operationalize outreach program plans, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to effectively enhance access to care, promote health equity, and support SMCC’s patient population.
- Ensure alignment of outreach activities with grant-funded programs, including compliance with reporting requirements.
- Supervise the Community Outreach Manager and provide oversight of the Community Outreach team, including the Community Outreach Navigators (CONs), to ensure the successful execution of community engagement efforts.
- Represent SMCC at community events, health fairs, and networking engagements, positioning the organization as a trusted healthcare provider.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing and outreach team to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Establish clear team goals, performance metrics, and KPIs, providing regular feedback and training opportunities.
- Oversee vendor relationships with creative agencies, designers, and media partners to optimize external marketing efforts.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between marketing, outreach, and clinical teams to maximize alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Develop and manage the marketing and outreach budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Track ROI on marketing campaigns, outreach efforts, and digital engagement, adjusting strategies based on data insights.
- Report key marketing and outreach performance metrics to leadership, making data-driven recommendations for growth.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing, outreach, communications, or community engagement exclusively within the healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and outreach campaigns.
- Experience managing a team and leading cross-functional marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
- Strong understanding of branding, public relations, and community engagement best practices.
- Ability to analyze marketing performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a mission-driven healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM, with experience in marketing automation, lead nurturing, and campaign tracking.
- Ability to leverage CRM analytics for data-driven marketing insights and patient engagement optimization.
