Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will work in a fast-paced, high-volume concierge contact center setting. The role involves assisting with pharmacy services and requires a strong ability to multitask and handle complex pharmacy-related tasks in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Coverage Determination Requests (CDR) within CMS-established timeframes.
  • Communicate pharmacy benefits verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain high attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a high-demand environment.

Additional Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pharmacy setting (Retail, PBM, Hospital, Managed Care).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Knowledge of prescription drug names, therapeutic classes, and claims processing.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with Medicare Part D.
  • Previous experience in a contact center environment.
  • Familiarity with CMS/NCQA regulations.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing.

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of college education preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
