FULL DESCRIPTION: The design engineer is responsible for engineering-based tasks which include but not limited to product design, testing, analytical studies, and project management.The design engineer will be working with products used in the HVAC industry and responsible for produce designs of new and existing products to complement and enhance product offerings.
They will also provide technical support to internal staff in the organization with regards to the products that they have worked with.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
-Plan and lead all design engineering aspects of prototyping, analytical studies, product development, and product improvement from concept through implementation.-Manage projects to optimize results & enhance integration between manufacturing, sales, marketing, & engineering.-Work with the Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Sales department to establish priorities, schedules, and action plans for new and redesigned products.-Increase design engineering efficiency by improving established engineering processes, implement new engineering procedures when required, and addressing critical quality components of products during the design phase.-Provide technical support to internal staff, customers, external consultants, contractors and related organizations.-Conduct and/or review the testing of new designs, interpreting test data and recommending and/or implementing necessary corrective action based on test data.
Will interface with agencies associated with certifying products (AMCA, UL, etc.)-Participate in Quality review of existing and non-conforming product.-Maintain accurate and current documentation on design changes and requests-Manage multiple projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
Work closely with marketing/sales and manufacturing on new product concepts, features and/or SDR's.The selected candidate will also possess:
-BS Mechanical Engineering or similar experience-Skilled with SolidWorks, MS Excel and MS Word-Mechanical Aptitude-Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills-Problem Solving skills-Proficient in writing technical reports, business correspondence, etc-Good verbal and written communication skills-Good time management and organizational skills-Ability to carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision Salary Range: $70-$95k/yr
