Overview:
The PBM Operations Support role performs a variety of tasks in support of the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) department. This will include both daily tasks and strategic projects. This position would be ideal for someone that has some pharmacy and insurance experience
Responsibilities:
- Performs general administrative functions in support of the PBM team
- Proactively notifies network pharmacies (LTC/SNF/ALF) of patient election to hospice and the medications covered/not-covered for each patient
- Ensures patient eligibility is accurate within the One Point Patient Care processing system
- Assists with calling Long Term Care facilities to verify pharmacy providing hospice medications
- Assists with various questions from network pharmacies
- Ensures hospice patients medications are being billed properly through the hospice benefit
- Assists with special projects as required, including, but not limiting to census audits
- Communicates insurance changes to network pharmacies during new customer transitions
- Assists with providing already established fees to contracted network pharmacies
- Assists with preparing network agreements for the Provider Services team
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards

- Currently in High School, Graduated or equivalent
- Experience in Operations Support II role or equivalent recommended
