We are in search of a Staff Accountant, specifically within the property development and lending sector, located in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with handling various duties within the accounting department, focusing on real estate transactions and job cost accounting.This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a stable company with growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct full cycle processing of real estate-related transactions.
- Perform job cost accounting for both rental and construction properties.
- Regularly maintain and update General Ledger account reconciliations.
- Organize and keep up-to-date vendor accounting records.
- Regularly prepare and revise various financial spreadsheets for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to address transaction issues.
- Engage with local governments concerning real estate transactions.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and adjust Journal Entries
- REQUIRED - Proficiency in QuickBooks
- REQUIRED - Experience with Job Cost accounting and analysis
- Familiarity with Construction Accounting practices
- Knowledge or experience in Real Estate Accounting is desirable
- Proficient in General Ledger maintenance and reconciliation
