We're hiring a Loan Operations Manager to join our Loan Operations Team in Souderton, PA.
Responsibilities:
Manage Loan Operations teams, including but not limited to Collateral and Insurance Servicing, Loan Utility, and related post-closing and servicing functions, tracking teams supervisors and providing ongoing and timely mentoring, coaching, feedback and training.Prepare and deliver all performance reviews within established bank guidelines.
Periodically meet with direct reports to establish personal and team performance goals, to review, coach and monitor performance against goals, discuss operations issues and review staff training and development requirements.
Promote teamwork among staff to ensure work is performed in a collective manner and standards for performance are achieved. Answer appropriately to member concerns.
Direct and assist with the following core loan operations: verification of commercial loan documents for collateral booking, support funding, booking and fee requests for team collaboration, process general ledger entries, approve wire transfers, daily loan settlements and balance accounts as needed.
Accountable for interpreting and translating complex loan documents for commercial loans to the core operating system, including CIF input, AFT setup, FASB 91 fee and cost records. Coordinate verification of loan input to reporting teams.
Perform and oversee the account maintenance necessary for reporting teams.
Support maintenance for Participation loans (bought and sold)
Oversee all insurance tracking, auditing, and updating for commercial loans in core operating system and insurance outsourcing vendors.
Oversee all departmental duties to ensure compliance with Univest lending policies and guidelines including: analyzing loan documents to determine that the required documents have been properly executed and returned; accurate data entry of applicable post-close tracking documentation, financial reporting, and covenants to ensure accordance with the approved terms and conditions of the loan request; working closely with the compliance team to ensure error free reporting.
Assist Relationship Managers, Administrative staff and customers with all inquiries and servicing issues; serve as an escalation point for other departments to resolve issues, complex lending situations, etc.
Accountable for tracking, scanning, and verification of documents to the Synergy Imaging System.
Ensure proper loan and collateral documentation by staying abreast of and interpreting various laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain procedures to uphold bank policies, regulatory requirements and operations processes.
Play a key role in the external decision making as it relates to projects and streamlining departments within loan operations; evaluate processes and procedures and implement improvements/modifications as necessary.
Prioritizes work assignments and projects in alignment with bank and department goals.
Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or business with minimum of 5 years bank loan operations experience or equivalent related education and experience with loan products, booking, and documentation
Comprehensive understanding of commercial credit, loan accounting computations, bank accounting practices and bank operations
Ability to evaluate complex commercial and real estate loan documents and make solid independent decisions consistent with Uninvest loan policies and guidelines accurately and without compromise
Excellent customer service, written/verbal communication, and telephone skills
Strong initiative and coaching skills; ability to motivate and develop employees
Advanced comprehension of mortgage, commercial, consumer loans
Ability to read and comprehend complex loan contracts
Ability to perform loan accounting computations, including interest accruals, payment amortizations, billing calculations
Ability to work independently, organize, prioritize and enter data quickly and accurately to meet deadlines, including end of month activity
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Advanced PC and word processing skills required to utilize varying proprietary Windows based software applications
Familiarity with ComplianceOne, Jack Henry, and Salesforce/nCino, or equivalent systems preferred
