Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 5% Assists with the design and development of engaging, effective learning experiences which may be face-to-face, blended, and/or online
• 15% Completes initial edits, reviews, and updates of existing instructional materials
• 10% Contributes to researching, designing, and/or acquiring learning resources, technologies, materials, and/or processes to support learning
• 20% Assists with providing basic training and technical support to learners in settings such as classrooms, labs, clinics, and distance learning mediums
• 5% Provides consultation, training, and/or support for learning technology tools and platforms
• 5% Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, resolves issues, and provides feedback regarding learning technologies
• 5% Provides support for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and disseminating data to identify instructional program needs and enhance effectiveness
• 5% Assists with the design and development of multimedia learning materials
• 10% Provides support for faculty development and engagement programs and activities
• 20% Provides administrative operational support for academic technology and teaching !nnovation (act!) (scheduling meetings, room reservations, meeting minutes, and translation of actionable items into timelines and to-do's in project management software

Tasks:

• Manage So N video library, ensuring accessibility (captions, interactive transcripts), optimizing usability (chapters an interactivity), and updating as needed.
• Assist instructors in clarifying and explaining basic technology workflows, such as creating quizzes or recording narrated Power Point/Keynote lectures.
• Lead the So N course readiness process each semester, collaborating with faculty and staff to streamline setup and ensure consistency across all So N programs.
• Provide operational support for act! events, handling scheduling, communications, setup (food, supplies), attendance, and feedback.
• Analyze act! services, identify gaps, and propose improvements using surveys, interviews, or other tools to inform decisions.
• Collect and analyze data on instructional technology use, providing insights on effectiveness, challenges, and areas that need attention.
• Update act! knowledge base and support docs, ensuring resources are current, comprehensive, and address current and emerging needs.
• Provide administrative support for the act! team by managing meetings, reservations, reviewing AI-generated notes, and adding action items into team's PM software.
• Provide first-tier support for faculty and TAs who use instructional tools (e.g., Canvas, Zoom, AI tools), triaging and escalating more complex issues.
• Stay updated on instructional technology trends by attending webinars or training, sharing insights with the team for potential improvements.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1+ years of professional experience in education, instructional technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with productivity software (Google Suite) and mac OS tool set.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Job-related communication may include: writing clear step-by-step instructions, responding to assistance requests via email, or managing chat during a virtual meeting. NOTE: The letter of interest will be evaluated as a sample of written communication proficiency.
• Experience using Canvas or a comparable learning management system (LMS)
• Ability to maneuver through a classroom with obstacles and obstructions (i.e. stepping over backpacks, moving from table to table to monitor activities during workshops or classroom observations, etc.) without accommodation.

Preferred:

• 3 or more years of experience working in higher education, preferably in the areas of academic technology, student services, or academic programs.
• Strong analytical mindset and a record of leveraging software, including AI tools, for workflow improvement.
• Experience leading or contributing to projects using project management software (e.g., Smart Sheet, Basecamp, or similar tools).

Full Time: 100%

This position requires most work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. The person in this position may request and be considered for a formal remote work agreement based on guidelines set forth by the School of Nursing, and/or may be provided with remote work flexibility as needed and approved by the supervisor.

The expected salary for this position starts at a rate of $57,000. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, the employee in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and other paid time off, competitive insurances and savings accounts, and employer sponsored retirement benefits.
