QA Engineer – Wi-Fi Testing
  • Hybrid in Philadelphia – 4 days a week onsite
  • Testing of our Wi-Fi Video Products
  • Wireless Set Top box that feeds Wi-Fi signal to the box then connects it to HDTV so we can check functionality of TVs
  • Experience: 5-6 years
  • Day to day

o Testing brand new feature – Create Test Cases based on the requirement, record this in internal tool.

o Follow test cases, we have test plans and test suites, 120 functionalities – we check those

o Throughout testing for different channel bandwidth

o Help us automate the test cases

o Set Top Box – We want to make sure it works with all Apps, Access Points
  • Ensure it works with Cable Companies
  • TV – works with Access Points
  • Education: Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineer is helpful, Video experience, RF experience is nice to have, CWNA certification will be useful

Looking for:

  • Networking experience
  • Understand the Ethernet and Set-top boxes quite well
  • Wi-Fi - someone with experience testing Wi-Fi, understand 802.11 protocol

  • Agile testing methodology
  • Someone who understands throughput testing right because this is how we measure the health of the TV Wi-Fi wise or the setup box

What we are not looking for: Design Wi-Fi in commercial arena, we are not looking for those. Primary scope of work - Performance, Interop and functionality evaluation for products.

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Experience with EO/IR systems is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in design controls
  • Must be eligible to work in the specified location
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and software
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
