What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. In the Design Internship position at Versiti, you will assist Versiti's Marketing Design team in the creation of assets to aid in the impact of promotions, specialty blood drives, blood research, and other strategic marketing initiatives.
This will primarily be focused in the digital realm with the production of social media assets, digital advertising, and email campaigns, but may also include traditional print mediums. This internship provides the opportunity to learn the basics of working within a cross-functional team to implement a marketing communications plan.

This is a chance to gain real-world design experience, mentorship, and opportunities to build your portfolio, while working on projects that will directly impact blood donations.

When you will work?

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship, working Monday-Friday. The internship will begin on June 2^nd. Our 10 - week summer internships are designed to provide hands-on, project-based experience in various areas of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of visual assets to support a marketing project plan
  • Develop social media and digital advertising recommendations
  • Participate in internal meetings and presentations of work
  • Contribute to the creative development of campaign theme
  • Participate in cross functional CapStone Intern Project with report out to Executive Leadership.
  • Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholder via email, phone and in person meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to department meetings, execute on goals and objectives to deliver outstanding results.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Education
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship required
Experience
  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign required
  • Experience with Animation/Video and proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premier preferred
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS preferred
  • Photography skills preferred
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of popular social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, and Facebook) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignments preferred
