Risk Management Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for an on-site Risk Management Specialist located at our Home Office in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-time position is responsible for managing primary casualty insurance claims and other Risk Management functions.In addition, the position ensures prompt review and processing of insurance related invoices and allocations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate processing of claims related to multiple lines of coverage including auto, general liability and workers’ compensation.
- Works closely with third party claims administrator and legal department.
- Maintain strong relationships with Branch Management teams.
- Review insurance related invoices for accuracy and processing payment with appropriate allocation.
- Manage minor auto and general liability claims and provide oversight of third-party adjusters.
- Manage “Damages under $3500” process and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures.
- Manage litigated claims docket with reporting to Legal department.
- Participate in insurance claim reviews and ensure follow up actions are completed timely.
- Prepare and distribute reports on insurance claim status and proposed action plans.
- Provide guidance and direction to Branches relating to certificates of insurance and other insurance related issues.
- Manage work-related injury early intervention program.
- Manage medical only and non-complex workers’ compensation claims including oversight of third-party administrator.
- Manage workers’ compensation return to work program including oversight of third-party administrator.
- Process FMLA work-related injury process.
- Completion of projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school education or GED equivalent; college preferred.
- ARM is a plus.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft applications including excel worksheets.
- Strong communication skills.
