The Mercalis Sales Team has an opening for a part-time intern to work 20-30 hours per week with the potential to move to full-time. This lead generation position will provide you the opportunity to work with a highly experienced patient services sales and marketing team and support their efforts through traditional lead generation activities.
An Intern eLearning Developer works under the guidance of a Mercalis Training Specialist to help create effective educational experiences through elearning. They play a key role in assisting with the design and development of training programs, courses, and learning materials that meet the needs of learners in a corporate setting. The following are the primary roles and responsibilities for an intern in this position:
Responsibilities:
- Course Design and Development:
- Assist in the design and development of instructional content, including courses, modules, and training materials.
- Help create and organize instructional materials such as slides, handouts, assessments, and multimedia (videos, infographics, etc.).
- Support the creation of interactive learning activities (e.g., quizzes, simulations, discussions) that enhance the learning experience.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Support:
- Assist in uploading and organizing learning materials in the Mercalis’s Learning Center.
- Help with tracking learner progress, updating course content, and managing user access to courses.
- Assist in generating reports and analytics to monitor course participation and effectiveness.
- Collaborative Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
- Work closely with SMEs (e.g., Training Specialist and Program Leadership) to ensure course content is accurate and relevant.
- Schedule meetings, gather feedback, and assist in refining training materials based on SME input.
- Multimedia and Graphic Design Support:
- Assist with the creation of engaging and visually appealing instructional materials (e.g., slide decks, e-learning modules, videos).
- Continuous Learning and Skill Development:
- Stay updated on current instructional design trends, tools, and technologies, such as e-learning platforms, authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), and mobile learning.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve personal knowledge and skills in instructional design.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and writing skills for creating clear, concise instructional materials.
- Creative thinking for developing engaging, interactive content.
- Technical skills in using instructional design tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Learning Management Systems).
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, well-organized documentation.
- Collaborative and teamwork skills for working with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and educational theories.
