Project Accountant

Overview:
Salary $50,000 year
Title: Project AccountantClassification: Non-Exempt
Scope of Position- Responsible for billing, payment allocations, collections and period ending reports
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions- Assist with Accounts Payable
- Match invoice with purchase order
- Verify items on invoice
- Contact vendor as needed regarding discrepancies
- Enter invoices into accounting systems
- Make copies of invoices and checks
- File invoices for payment
- File paid invoices
- Assist with Accounts Receivable
- Prepare monthly invoice and required back up
- Input invoices into accounting system
- Enter cash receipts into accounting system
- Maintain aging list of open invoices
- Contact customer when invoices are outstanding
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Perform miscellaneous assignments requested by Controller
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirement.- Experienced in applying accounting principles
- Must have working knowledge of “standard” software packages used at EDSI..
- Good interpersonal skills
