Job Summary:

As an HR Specialist at Liberty Software, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and management by overseeing key HR functions. Specializing in employee relations, compliance, and payroll administration, you will use your expertise to resolve employee issues, ensure adherence to regulations, and contribute to organizational goals and employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, manage conflict resolution, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and disciplinary actions to drive employee success and growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and other employment-related requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and communicate status updates effectively to managers and employees.
  • Payroll Management: Administer employee payroll. Assist employees with payroll-related questions and issues to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
  • HR Systems and Documentation: Maintain and update HR systems, employee files, policies, and various types of documentation.
  • Assist in other areas where needed: such as recruiting and onboarding, training and development, and policy implementation as needed to support HR functions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role or similar position
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR practices and employment laws. In-depth knowledge of FMLA and ADA laws essential, experience managing payroll a plus
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
