Administrative Assistant

We are in search of an Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will handle a variety of administrative tasks, such as processing incoming mail, managing phone operations, and maintaining accurate records. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is integral to maintaining efficient communication between our team and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally handle all incoming calls and efficiently route them to the correct team members or departments.
• Process incoming mail and sort it into categories.
• Deposit checks received in the mail remotely to the bank.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource and provide accurate information while addressing basic inquiries as needed.
• Use Microsoft Outlook to monitor incoming faxes for payer correspondence and disperse to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate efficiently with other team members and departments.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines when answering calls and always maintain professionalism and respect.
• Understand and process medical insurance.
• Scan and upload payer mail to the billing company.
• Ensure effective and timely management of customer credit applications and records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook is required
• Experience in healthcare insurance, medical insurance, and insurance referrals - verifications is needed
• Ability to handle mail distribution, mail checks, and mail processing tasks
• Familiarity with insurance claims and medical insurance verification is necessary
• Ability to answer multi-line phone systems and manage inbound telephone calls is required
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and phone operations is needed
• Professional phone etiquette is a must
