Job Description
As a key player on the trade leadership team, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape and execute long-term strategies that will drive our business forward.- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with commercial customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift strategic directions of accounts.
- Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Lead a high performance sales team and guide them to exceed their sales quota while supporting their career growth.
- Coach and lead a team of account managers, setting clear performance targets and sales goals.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and development.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maintain strong profit margins.
- Continuously monitor sales metrics and encourage a proactive approach to meeting daily targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade customers and suppliers, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure inventory aligns with sales demand.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Sales Director should have firstly experience in the construction sealants or similar products industry with knowledge of commercial construction customers.- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
- Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Customer-focused, with a strong ability to build and maintain key trade relationship
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in a senior sales role, ideally within construction-based or OEM products.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with experience using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
