Position Overview:
Our client, a leading technology company headquartered in Southfield, MI, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Corporate Accounting Manager. This role requires a CPA and at least 6 years of accounting experience. The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the corporate accounting functions.The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial accounting and reporting, as well as experience managing and mentoring a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the headquarters accounting functions, including general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors to facilitate audit processes, provide necessary documentation, and address any audit findings.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team’s success.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.

Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- 6+ years of experience in corporate accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation processes.
- Proven experience leading and managing an accounting team.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external auditors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
