We are seeking an independent and dynamic Senior Project Manager II. You will be responsible for implementing contact center technology across multiple non-clinical business units. Your focus will be on operational needs including managing operational requirements, process changes, end-user testing, rollout planning, and communication.

This position acts as a liaison between internal development teams, technical PMs, and vendor teams.

The Senior Project Manager II works independently to plan, monitor, and manage multiple, diverse medium to large projects of high complexity across multiple teams, departments, service centers and client locations that have a direct impact on the organization and are highly visible.
The Senior Project Manager II will act as a single point of accountability on assigned projects, secure required resources, use Parallon Project Services project controls and standards, and ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

The Senior Project Manager II must demonstrate a strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks and issues, and by facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. Moderate travel may be required, based upon job role.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Maintain active communication with stakeholders across various teams (Parallon, Service Center, Division, Corporate, Facility, etc.) to manage relationships with project owners and team members, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Develop and facilitate key strategic documents, such as Project Charters, Education and Communication Plans, detailed project plans, and provide regular project updates and presentations to business owners.
  • Break down project activities into manageable tasks for team members and establish an effective approach to completing work as outlined in the project plan.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies, ensuring projects stay on track and within schedule.
  • Oversee the identification, management, and completion of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage staff performance to ensure quality work and seamless integration of team contributions.
  • Mentor staff in applying project management best practices and controls.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes to maintain project momentum and resolve obstacles.
  • Author and facilitate the creation of project implementation documentation, including implementation toolkits and migration schedules.
  • Lead or coordinate project planning, resource allocation, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and team management.
  • Ensure that project outcomes meet technical quality, reliability, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Address both technical and non-technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred, ideally in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, supply chain, workforce management, financial services, or technical/systems roles is a plus.
  • Experience with HCA, HealthTrust, or Parallon is a plus.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven experience in project management and operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to create detailed documentation and reports
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and implementing planning processes
  • Strong capability in managing project schedules and deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience in quality control and assurance
  • Ability to supervise and lead teams effectively
  • Proficient in creating and delivering presentations
  • Familiarity with the software 'About Time' and its functionalities
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions
  • Experience in performing ad hoc financial analysis
  • Track record of driving project progress and implementation
  • Willingness to travel as per project requirements
  • Experience in staff management and establishing relationships with stakeholders
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and specification writing
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (combination of onsite and remote work).
