Accounting Specialist

Expanding New York City organization is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks including managing accounts payable, account reconciliation, etc. The selected candidate will also perform bank reconciliations.

• Overseeing accounts payable and outsourced functions
• Performing account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy
• Conducting bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial information
• Utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Handling data entry tasks for invoices and other financial information
• Managing General Ledger (GL) entries and reconciliation
• Carrying out payroll reconciliation tasks
• Ensuring month-end close activities are completed in a timely manner
• Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Having a minimum of five years of experience in similar accounting roles
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Skilled in conducting Bank Reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns.
• Must have a strong background in Bookkeeping to maintain financial records and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and interpreting data.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing the company's financial accounts.
