Personal Injury Paralegal

This role requires experience in California personal injury law, a proactive approach, and exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

• Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands.
• Conduct client interviews and gather critical case-related documentation such as medical records, police reports, and insurance correspondence.
• Coordinate and track client medical treatment, ensuring timely follow-ups with providers.
• Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Prepare case summaries, demand letters, settlement evaluations, and trial preparation materials.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers regarding case status, demands, and negotiations.
• Handle lien negotiations and work with providers to facilitate reductions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in personal injury law in California.
• Skills & Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of California personal injury laws and litigation procedures.
• Proficiency in legal research and case law analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with case management software (e.g., Needles, Clio, SmartAdvocate) is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
