ASSOCIATE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Our client, a prestigious national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate to join their Intellectual Property group. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent and trademark prosecution as well as IP transactions.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York, as applicable.
- 2-5 years of substantive experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions(link removed)>
- USPTO registration number or patent bar eligibility is strongly preferred(link removed)>
- Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and practical judgment are required.
- Experienced in negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions and software agreements a plus(link removed)>
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings.
- Conduct patent and trademark searches, prepare clearance opinions/advice, and respond to office actions responses.
- Negotiate and draft IP transaction and software agreements.
- Conduct IP due diligence for M&A transactions and prepare related documentation.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and collaborate with other lawyers within the firm.
