Overview:

The Chief Information Officer organizes, plans, directs and is responsible for Frontwave Credit Union’s technology, analytics and digital service delivery resources to assure alignment with overall strategic and business goals and support a digital-first environment.

Leads technology, analytics and digital experience management and staff. Responsible for ensuring data security and regulatory information security-related compliance. Responsible to uphold and abide by Frontwave’s Core Values and service expectations.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in

compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, lead, and design all activities of the IT and Digital Experience departments.
  • Responsible for the Information Security operational functions. Ensure security of all member and Credit Union data and appropriate security infrastructure to prevent internal and external threats and develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures relating to data security. Secondary duty will include acting as the Information Security Officer.
  • Responsible for overall planning, organizing and execution of all IT functions ensuring efficient use of existing technology. Provide reliable and cost-effective technology and technology solutions to meet growing need for paperless environment and greater process efficiencies.
  • Manage the use of technology throughout the Credit Union to ensure that core transaction processor support and other strategic or ancillary systems are functioning at a level to ensure quality service to staff and members at large.
  • Manage and ensure on-going training of assigned staff. Conduct performance reviews, recommend salary adjustments, and counsel staff toward optimum performance, including ensuring exceptional levels of service is provided to external members and internal customers
  • Ensure IT and data security compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Oversee negotiation and administration of IT vendors, outsourcers, IT consultant contracts and IT service agreements. Lead overall technology vendor relationship management efforts to ensure vendors are meeting service level and support expectations.
  • Oversee the management of all telecommunication systems and service partners.
  • Oversee the implementation of cloud and application-based solutions by providing direction and support for solutions that will enhance strategic and mission-critical business operations.
  • Ensure technology initiatives are on track and approved budgets are utilized as originally requested.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology, analytics and digital service delivery trends with particular emphasis on the financial services industry.
  • Provide consultation on strategic business plans relating to technology, analytics and digital service delivery to ensure they are effectively evaluated for compatibility and effectiveness, including the development of new systems, the evaluation of existing systems or the acquisition of vendor services. Assist in system selection, negotiation, implementation and support.
  • Collaborate with business units to formulate and deploy long-term strategies and vision of technology; communicate future plans by matching technology solutions with strategic business drivers.
  • Work with all areas of the organization to develop the annual technology budget and resource plans. Negotiate budget items based on priorities and time and resource constraints to ensure all critical areas of technology are addressed.
  • Approve all technology purchases in accordance with organizational vendor management policies and track progress of budget compliance.
  • Define, document, manage and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users regarding relevant technology efforts and activities.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Master’s Degree preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology in Computer Science, Application Development, Business Intelligence, or other Information Technology related field and a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in management positions.

Proven record of continuing education to stay current with technology, data analytics, digital service delivery advances and best practices, project and change control management, and regulatory compliance.

Salary Range: $194,695.80 - $324,493.00
