Tax Preparer

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax preparation services to our clients while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses, including W-2, 1099, K-1, Schedule C, and Schedule E.
• Analyze financial documents, income statements, and expense records to determine appropriate tax filings.
• Review and reconcile client-provided data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and explain tax filing requirements.
• Address client questions and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure efficient workflow.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a tax preparer in a CPA firm or similar setting.
• Proficiency in preparing tax filings for W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, Schedule C, and Schedule E.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., such as Drake, Lacerte, or UltraTax).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPA designation or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred but not required.
