Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom, working with high school juniors and seniors with a caseload of 15 students. The position focuses on students with low cognitive abilities, Autism, and Emotional Disturbance (ED) related to anxiety or depression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with cognitive impairments, Autism, and emotional challenges.
• Provide tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and educational staff to ensure students' academic success and emotional well-being.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to address students' learning and behavioral challenges.
• Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with low cognitive abilities, Autism, or emotional disturbances is preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom with a small caseload effectively.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
