Role Overview

As a Program Planner, you will support our team in the sourcing and procuring of Meeting & Event destinations and locations. Throughout the Planning process, you will need to maintain a collaborative and professional relationship with other Lorandus team members, as well as our trusted vendor partners and our valued clients.

Scope of Work

Under the direction of the Director of Program Planning & Vendor Relations, your duties will include:

Develop RFP requests based on the requirements expressed by the client
Submit & liaise RFP requests to vendor partners as required
Collect, create, maintain, and effectively organize the information obtained from vendors
Research and resource key elements of the proposal process reporting to the Program Planner/Designer
Contribute to the development of client proposals, site inspection documents and other Planning related documents
Establish a Program Design document
Establish detailed Budget Proposals using Microsoft Excel
Keep the leadership team up to date on planning progress
Prepare & present information for internal meetings on the project
Prioritizing duties to adhere to assigned timelines and critical deadlines, often managing multiple projects at the same time
Attend suitable educational industry events and FAM trips upon approval

Mutually agreed upon sundry duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. 2 years of experience as a Meetings & Events Program Planner/Purchaser
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certificate or similar post-secondary education (preferred)
TICO certification or equivalent for other provinces
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
Strong consultative approach to understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions
Ability to work independently while also being an impactful collaborator
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Strong customer service orientation, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction

Attention to detail and pride in delivering successful outcomes for projects of all sizes
