Job Description- Lead and manage the general accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded, reconciled, and reported accurately within the required timelines.
- Review and analyze financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations. Lead efforts to improve the internal control environment.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to foster growth and ensure alignment with team and company objectives.
- Partner with other departments, including Finance, Operations, and IT, to support business initiatives, resolve accounting-related issues, and provide financial insights.
- Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

The Successful Applicant- Accounting degree, CPA preferred but not required
- At least 8+ years of experience; combined private and public accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
- Ability to prepare and review financial analysis and accounting schedules, as needed
- Ability to analyze complex transactions and research appropriate accounting
- Experience in evaluating and implementing accounting policies and practices
